Some Of The Benefits of The Festival
The CINEKAMBIYA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (CIFF) is organized by the SANXAANU KAGGORO FILM KAFFO/SANXAANU KAGGORO FILM INSTITUTE on the initiative of Prince Bubacarr Aminata Sankanu, budding African film scholar, established film producer, director and industry strategist.
CIFF is an annual festival primarily for films made in indigenous languages that are not always considered by mainstream festivals on the global stage. Since many filmmakers from developing countries especially in Africa cannot afford the luxury of travelling to festivals in Europe or negotiate better deals with mainstream programmers, CIFF sets out to prove a reliable alternative for them to expose their works to domestic and international audiences concerned.
The objectives include the creation of a link and continuity between festival organization and local capacity building. The film festival will attract audiences for the marketing of films and stimulate sustainable local production, home-based training (creation of SANXAANU KAGGORO FILM INSTITUTE). As the festival grows, it will include competition and award components (PAN AFRICAN SCREEN AWARDS, PASA) in its programming package.
The promotion of human rights is also part of the working areas of CIFF.
Submitted films will adequently beneftis from the global exposure of the Prince Bubacarr Aminata Sankanu Brand
